Gaz Betonu üzerine video yansıtma, 160x120x20cm/10 dakika, 2025. Gaz betonundan örülmüş ve kapı tokmağıyla tamamlanmış bu duvar, bir geçişin değil artık aşılamayan bir engelin simgesidir. Yüzeyine yansıtılan çocuk çizimleri, kayıplar, yoksulluk ve travmalarla baş etmenin sessiz diline dönüşür. Çocuk, kaybettiği babasını ve kardeşini melek olarak çizer. Freud’un dediği gibi, “İnsan dayanamadığını sembollere dönüştürerek yeniden yaşar.” Bu çizimler, söze dökülemeyen duyguların görünür hâle gelmesidir. Winnicott’ın belirttiği gibi, çocuk bazen bir oyuncakla bazen de bir çizimle yaşamın acı gerçekleriyle kendisi arasında bir köprü kurar. Bu görüntü, bireysel bir hafızadan yola çıkarak toplumsal belleğe dokunur. Duvarın soğuk yüzeyinde beliren her çizgi, insanın yıkım karşısında hayal gücüyle hayatta kalma direncinin sessiz bir ifadesidir. “Arayıp da bulunamayan, gidilip de görülemeyen” o yer ise belki de bu duvarın ardında kalan, hiçbir zaman tamamen ulaşılamayan içsel bir sığınaktır.

This wall, built of aerated concrete and completed with a door knocker, symbolizes no longer a passage but an obstacle that cannot be overcome. The children’s drawings projected onto its surface transform into a silent language for coping with loss, poverty, and trauma. The child depicts their lost father and sibling as angels. As Freud states, “What one cannot endure is relived by transforming it into symbols.” These drawings render visible emotions that cannot be put into words. As Winnicott points out, a child sometimes builds a bridge between themselves and the painful realities of life through a toy, sometimes through a drawing. Starting from an individual memory, this image reaches toward collective memory. Each line that appears on the cold surface of the wall becomes a silent expression of the human capacity to survive devastation through imagination. The place that is “sought but never found, gone to but never seen” may lie behind this wall—an inner refuge that is never fully reachable.
