YANSIMA / REFLECTION

Bu proje, kültürel süreklilik ile güncel yaşam arasındaki kopukluğa dikkat çekmektedir. Hızlanan üretim ve tüketim süreçleri içinde geleneksel bilgi, teknik ve estetik değerler çoğu zaman tarihsel bir referans olarak kalmakta; güncel deneyimle kurduğu ilişki zayıflamaktadır. Proje, mavi-beyaz seramiğin tarihsel serüvenini çağdaş üretim ve medya teknolojileriyle yeniden ele alarak, kültürel hafızanın bugünde yeniden doğabilen bir yapı olduğunu görünür kılmayı amaçlar.

Bu bağlamda proje, bireyin geçmişle kurduğu ilişkiyi yalnızca nostaljik bir hatırlama düzeyinde bırakmak yerine, onu düşünsel ve duyusal olarak yeniden deneyimleyebileceği bir alan açar. Seramik yüzey, halı ve gündelik yaşam nesneleri aracılığıyla tarihsel olan, güncel yaşamın içine sızar ve yeniden anlam kazanır. Böylece proje, modern yaşamın yarattığı zamansal kopuş, aidiyet kaybı ve bellek yitimi gibi yaşamsal ihtiyaçlara eleştirel bir yanıt üretir.

Sonuç olarak çalışma, bireyin kültürel mirasla kurduğu bağı güncel üretim pratikleri üzerinden yeniden düşünmeye davet ederek; süreklilik, aidiyet ve anlam üretimi ihtiyacına yönelik bir farkındalık alanı oluşturur.

This project draws attention to the disconnection between cultural continuity and contemporary everyday life. Within rapidly accelerating processes of production and consumption, traditional knowledge, techniques, and aesthetic values often remain confined to historical reference points, weakening their relationship with present-day experience. By reconsidering the historical trajectory of blue-and-white ceramics through contemporary production methods and media technologies, the project aims to make visible cultural memory as a structure capable of being continually reborn in the present.

In this context, the project seeks to move beyond a merely nostalgic engagement with the past, instead opening a space in which it can be re-experienced both intellectually and sensorially. Through ceramic surfaces, carpets, and everyday objects, the historical permeates contemporary life and gains renewed meaning. In doing so, the project offers a critical response to vital issues produced by modern life, such as temporal disjunction, loss of belonging, and the erosion of memory.

Ultimately, the work invites individuals to reconsider their relationship with cultural heritage through contemporary production practices, creating a field of awareness that addresses the need for continuity, belonging, and the production of meaning.
